The teachers at Far Horizons are what help to make this a unique learning environment.

Our teachers are a group of dedicated individuals who spend countless hours working both inside and outside of their classrooms preparing a learning environment tailored to meet the needs of the individual student.

Each of our classrooms has two fully qualified full-time teachers.  In addition to their undergraduate educations, our teachers have been trained extensively in the Montessori Method. The length of service of many of our teachers speaks to the healthy learning environment present in our school.

Our school is unique in that ongoing Montessori education courses are given by our Director, Nora Cunningham, who was herself tested by Maria's son, Mario Montessori, when she received her Montessori certification in Ireland.

In addition to our two classroom teachers, students have the benefit of receiving classroom instruction in Music, Dance and Gymnastics, Spanish, and Physical Education from teachers specially trained in these fields. These courses are part of our basic curriculum and all students’ participation is part of our comprehensive basic curriculum.
